From September through June
WEEKLY EREV SHABBAT WORSHIP SERVICES are held every Friday evening, usually at 8 p.m., but times vary, so check for the correct start time.
FIRST FRIDAY FAMILY SERVICE - beginning at 7 p.m. – The first Friday of every month (September through June) is a First Friday Family Service. The service is meant for families with children ages 9-12, though it has become a favorite for many adults. Our Temple Emanu-El Youth Choir leads our Shabbat worship with Cantor Sharlein and Rabbi Klein, and all children are invited to join Rabbi Klein on the bima for a special magic trick or musical presentation.
WEEKLY SHABBAT SATURDAY MORNING SERVICES are held Saturday mornings at 10:30 a.m.
YOUNG FAMILY SHABBAT SERVICES – Our Young Family Shabbat program sponsors Friday evening and Shabbat morning programs for families with 3-8-year-old children. Each program begins with a brief Sabbath service, followed by a story, activities and crafts. On Friday nights there is a family pizza dinner and on Shabbat morning a snack. Young Family Shabbat is organized by our families, with participation and input from Rabbi Klein, Cantor Sharlein and Geoff Berdy, our Temple Educator.
TORAH STUDY - is held Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in the Temple Library with Rabbi Klein and Cantor Sharlein.
In July and August
SUMMER SERVICES IN THE BIRNKRANT GARDEN - Erev Shabbat evening services in July and August are held outdoors (weather permitting) at 7:00 p.m. We do not hold Saturday morning services during July and August. |
