There are many ways to give to Temple Emanu-El

There are many ways to give at Temple Emanu-El. This page tells you about our giving opportunities and how to give online. Or, if you prefer, contact the Temple Office about your gift. They can also answer any questions you have about our giving opportunities.

Special Funds: There are many Special Funds for whatever areas of Temple touch you most, from the garden, to music, to youth activities. Many members donate as a Tribute or Rememberance. You can now donate and make your tribute or remembrance online, using our online form.

Tree of Life: You can honor a loved one or commemorate a special occasion by placing a Leaf on our Tree of Life. You can get more information and order a Leaf here.

Charitable Gift Annuity: Temple Emanu-El has partnered with Comerica to offer a Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) program. Of special interest to our older members, a CGA offers attractive benefits, such as:

  • a lifetime stream of secure, fixed income, with a very attractive guaranteed rate of return;
  • an immediate charitable gift deduction;
  • other significant tax benefits; and
  • most importantly, the Mitzvah of investing in the future of Temple Emanu-El

Learn more about CGAs.

Yahrzeit Plaque: You can place a plaque on our Yahrzeit Board to remember a loved one. You can get more information and order a Plaque here.

Pledge to the Lech Lecha Endowment Fund and/or the Norman Rose Cantor Fund: The Lech Lecha Operating Endowment is intended to provide ongoing support for the operating needs of Temple. The Norman Rose Cantor Fund is intended to help Temple Emanu-El to remain one of the few local Temples served by an invested Cantor. You can make a one time donation to either fund using the donation form at the bottom of this page. However, we encourage members to make pledges, payable over time, to these important funds. If you would like to discuss a pledge or learn more about Lech Lecha or the Cantor Fund, send us a note or call.
