Temple Emanu-El’s Early Childhood Community is a Jewish pre-school for children ages six weeks to five years old. Our children learn Jewish values and Jewish traditions, as they participate in weekly Shabbat and Havdalah services, blessings before snacks and meals and age-approprite programming about the Jewish Holidays. At the same time, our warm, caring, professional faculty and our developmentally based curriculum teach the skills and knowledge that provide the foundation for future schooling.

Pre-school Program (18 months - 5 years, September - June)

• Our Preschool Program features:
  • A professional full-time faculty
  • Extended Care before and after school (see schedule below)
  • Flexible Scheduling
  • Optional Vacation Care during school-breaks (see break periods below)
  • Open enrollment throughout the year, subject to availability
  • Regular interaction with Rabbi Klein and Cantor Sharlein;
  • Children 3 and under do not have to be toilet-trained;
  • A nut-free environment.
    

Summer Day Camp (18 months - 5 years, June-August)

• Our Preschool Program features:
  • Three, three-week sessions; enroll for one or all
  • A “Safety Town” program for the older children
  • All other key features of our Pre-school Program

Infant Tot Program (6 weeks - 18 months, year round)

• Our Infant-Tot Program features:
  • A 3 to 1 teacher-infant staffing ratio
  • Year-round (51 week) programming, open during secular school holiday periods.

  • Open enrollment throughout the year, subject to availability

Our ECC programs are not limited to Temple members. However, generous financial incentives are available for members. Current and prospective ECC families are urged to consider the many benefits of Temple membership.
